Frank Ticheli
If you haven't heard anything by Frank Ticheli, then that is sad. He is a GREAT composer. Look up some of his stuff on youtube. This is my favorite song by him so far:

Young Reader

I loved reading when I was little. I'm glad I read. I'm also glad my mom bought me these series:
I love the Series of Unfortunate Events. They were my FAV back in elementary and middle school. I decided to re read them and I realized now how quick of reads they are! Oh well. Books are good. Read these!!

Take your mark, GO!

- Practice 6 days a week and coming in the mornings on saturday.
- Doing so many crunches with a med-ball you feel like your abs are gonna explode.
- dryland practice.
- back to back events during a meet.
- Swimming the 500 every meet.
- Getting hugs after being DQ in your event.
- Getting really nervous before your race that you pee in your suit next to a really worried timer.
- Cheering so loud that you lose your voice
- Sets during practice that make you feel like you cant take one more stroke.
- not breathing
- Silly Cheers
- building friendships that you know will last forever.
- Eating 5 meals a day
- Pasta Parties to carb up.
- Goggles that fall off during a race or get foggy.
- Caps that stretch and break while pulling them on your head.
- west warm ups.
- Cutting down time
- A tight swim suit that takes you 20 min to get on
- medical conditions like swimmers ear, shoulder aches, and maybe even hair lose.
- frizzy hair
- hair loss
Sick of kids telling me swimming isnt a hard sport. Because they are wrong.
Swimming is more than a sport to me. Its a lifestyle. I am willing to do all these things. I want that lifestyle. I love swimming. Its my thing.
Happy 300th Post!

It was a Special Day
Today at Church we had a special visitor! Sister Mary N. Cook from the General Young Women's Presidency! It was so awesome to hear from her today. It felt so good. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! I could really feel the spirit with her here.
She talked a lot about the pressures of the world and how it can be hard to be that one that stands up for what is right. I know we have all had situations like that before. But she told us that we are not alone. There are thousands of YW just like us going through the same thing. She also stressed the importance of reading the Book of Mormon. Marking it, writing notes in it. I was so glad she came here to talk to us. I know she is inspired.
“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name it never knew. “ Never Forget.

Emily's Laws
If I had my own country and I could make up my own laws, I think I would have these established:
1.I think it should be a law that if you have a phone or whatever that you should have to respond the second somebody texts or calls you. Srsly. Why do people take so freaking long? JUST RESPOND! D;
2. Shorts above the knee are banned. We will find you and make you wear pants if you are wearing short shorts. ( I HATE SHORT SHORTS)
3. If you dont like the beatles you cant live in this country.
4. If you love country music you cant live in this country.
5. All taxes will go towards art. No stupid road fixes, no giant compass in the middle of the road, Just ART.
Its a good thing I'm not in charge because I sound like a dictator....

Back in the USSR
I love this Magazine. It has told me so many cool things about my FAVORITE band ever The Beatles. Just some interesting things I've learned....
- Back in the USSR is a parody of this :
Back in the USSR is better :)
2. Lucy and the Sky with Diamonds was NOT based off of the drug LSD.
3. All you Need is Love was not only played with Harrison on guitar but with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Marianne Faithfull, Donovan, and Keith Moon. ( during their LIVE show)
4. Come Together was written as a campaign song for Timothy Leary who was running for governor in California in 1970.
5.Revolution was all about Johns Views on Politics.
I love finding the story behind their songs. They are awesome. They may be dead, but their music is still alive.
