Big Families Lesson 4

Your mom is in the living room folding laundry. The rest of the family is ~~being~~ ~~crazy~~/

sitting quietly and watching TV. You enter the room so you can ask your mom a question. You ask her a simple question. " Hey mom can I go with my friends on Friday? "

Her reply is, " HEY! CAMERON get dow- Lizzie come her you need a new diap-GENNY don't eat- Christoper did you switch-Calvin!I told you to- sure!"

Now this might be alittle confusing at first but if you break it down like I do you will understand.

"HEY CAMERON get dow-", is most likely telling Cameron to stop jumping off the stairs. " Lizzie come here you need a new dia-", is referring to the little 3 year old girl who doesn't want a diaper change. " GENNY dont eat-", is most likely telling a baby not to put that old piece if cereal; she found under the table, in her mouth. " Christopher did you switch-" , is asking whether or not he switched the laundry. " Calvin I told you to-", is probably asking if he swept the floor yet.

It might take a while to get your answer....or maybe you should just ask tomorrow...

Lesson 1:

You wake up a nice sunday morning and you forgot to shower the night before. You have alittle time before church, so you decide to go take one. You get to the bathroom, turn on the shower, and it's ice cold. ALWAYS WAKE UP 20 MIN EARLIER FOR A HOT SHOWER.

Lesson 2:

Your mom goes grocery shopping and gets food for the next 4 weeks or whatever. Later, you are hungry and want to eat a yummy snack. You open up that box of chocolate mini cakes and your hand touches the bottom of the box. Empty. ALWAYS HIDE FOOD IN A PLACE YOUNGER CHILDREN CANT FIND IT. I suggest the vegetable drawer. They will never look in there.

Lesson 3:

You wake at 5 in the morning for seminary everyday. You brush your teeth, your hair, and do the daily routine everyday. One morning you wake up. You brushed your hair but you cant seem to find your toothbrush. You look at the toilet and you try and not think the worst, but you look in the toilet anyways. There floating at the top of the toilet bowl is your toothbrush.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS KEEP YOUR TOOTHBRUSH IN YOUR ROOM

This day was weird...

I was sitting in seminary and sneezed and it was blood. So I was like, crap. So I went down stairs dripping with each step. I cleaned up and then cleaned up my mess. By the time I was finished, seminary was over. Nice.

In 5th hour some girl was saying my religion had too many "rules". SO I told her they are not rules. I choose to obey the commandments ect. So when the bell rang, she made a joke about me. I was kinda embarrassed. I told myself, " You know what? I'm just going to stand tall and keep going."

That's what I did...until I ran into a wall.

It was a really cold day today. I walk between buildings everyday so I decided to wear under Armour, leggings and sweat pants. I was too hot in class so I decided to take my sweat pants off. I left them there on accident and went to my next class with leggings. :|

This has been the weirdest day ever.

New Years Eve Party

I threw a party yesterday with my youth. It was actually really fun! We played fun games and cool music and had a little dance party. We counted down to midnight with a basketball score keeper. It was really great spending New Years with my closest friends :)

Chrsitmas/ Christmas Eve was a blast.

On Christmas Eve we went to a nursing home and sang. Then we went to Ideal Hotdog for our tradition. Then we came home and opened presents.

On Christmas we went to church and had a great program. I really liked it because we sang all the Christmas songs in the hymn book. It was spectacular. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I went to a baptism today for a family now in our ward and it was such a good program. We watched a video on missionary work and how even the simplest things can change a persons life forever.

Later today I was looking up music on youtube and I found this video about Christ and his life. It's called, "A Simple Testimony of Jesus Christ". It made me think about how much Christ loves us. He loves us so much that he died for us. I am so grateful for him and for god's plan.

I didnt take many pictures but I got some cute ones with my friend Lauren.

This year at the banquet I got My Athletic Scholar Award! I was SO happy because I know I had worked really hard this quarter to get good grades. It really payed off :) I also received my letter again! I was really happy because again, all my work payed off and I had worked my BUTT off this season to get it. It was a great season!

Swim Season 2011

This season was really freaking awesome! I had some amazing races and met a lot of new friends.

My most memorable race was at the division meet when I drooped 30 seconds of my 500 free. I worked sooo hard for that race and it all payed off. I ended up scoring for my team.

The best memory of the season was when we won the division meet! It was such an amazing experience. At the end of the meet we all jumped into the pool as a team as our " victory jump".

I love my team!

My mom is pretty much the coolest mom ever. She is super nice to everyone and helps them with whatever they need. She does way too much for us even when we act like bratty teenagers/kids. She doesn't hammer us down with a ton of rules. She isnt strict. She doesn't hold long grudges against you. She makes us yummy good. She runs something to school/swim if you forget it at home. She helps you when you're sad. She loves you no matter what.

She is awesome.

Practice 6 days a week and coming in the mornings on saturday.
Doing so many crunches with a med-ball you feel like your abs are gonna explode.

Getting hugs after being DQ in your event.
Getting really nervous before your race that you pee in your suit next to a really worried timer.
Cheering so loud that you lose your voice
Sets during practice that make you feel like you cant take one more stroke.

Swimming is more than a sport to me. Its a lifestyle. I am willing to do all these things. I want that lifestyle. I love swimming. Its my thing.

Today at Church we had a special visitor! Sister Mary N. Cook from the General Young Women's Presidency!

It was so awesome to hear from her today. It felt so good. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! I could really feel the spirit with her here.

She talked a lot about the pressures of the world and how it can be hard to be that one that stands up for what is right. I know we have all had situations like that before. But she told us that we are not alone. There are thousands of YW just like us going through the same thing. She also stressed the importance of reading the Book of Mormon. Marking it, writing notes in it. I was so glad she came here to talk to us. I know she is inspired.

Im mad. I dont mean to use this blog as a ranting session. But I am.

I hate girls. They suck. Especially when they turn all your friends away from you, or when they call your hair ugly, or when you write something nice to them on their wall and they delete it, or once somebody moves in thats new they just forget about you. I hate it when they call me names. I hate that they think they are so much better than me just because they have nicer clothes or a skinnier body. I hate girls. Teenage girls. Its making me SO mad.

I hate that when they are in front of other people or on facebook they suddenly act nice and cover it up. HATE that the most.

Well guess what? YOU wear TOO much makeup. And obviously you aren't as sweet and nice as you seem because you tried to hurt me and others. Well I'm done letting you hurt me. I'm not gonna bite back or yell or scream. Im gonna keep my cool because that's one think I can do that you cant.

I hate people like that.

School starts in 11 days. D: Summer has been so fun! I got to hang out with friends, watch movies all day, swim in my grandma's pool a lot, see cool things, and just chilll. It was awesome. But now I have to go back into school mode. A world full of stress, swimming, and homework. Boo.

We all know I love music. I rant about it ALL the time. But I have a couple new Bands that are worthy of my little " favorite Music" list.

I hate it when people move away. Its stupid. I feel like people should have to sign a contract when you move here so you cant movie away. It makes me sad :(

My YWs President is moving away soon. So all of the presidency got released on sunday. Im really sad about it. They have been the best. They are always including everyone and making people actually want to come to Yws. I used to not like coming before. But now because of them I know that they are my friends too and they want me there. But now they're gone :( and we get new people. :/ I bet the new people will be good too but not as good as what this Presidency has done. I just want to take the time right now to thank them ( even if they never read this) and say that they are super awesome and that I love them. They have been the best Presidency ever. They take so much time and effort to make cool activities and fun things to do. I know they have sacrificed their time to do those things for us and I'm so grateful. I'm really going to miss them :(

A True Friend

I have been thinking a lot about friendship lately. A lot about some great friends I have and some not so much :/ But I want to just think about the good ones. I just want to say some things on true friends

1. A true friend is always there for you no matter what. To be there when you fall and to help you up when you dont feel like getting up again.

2. A true friend will accept you for who you are and not try to change you.

3. A true friend will make you laugh even if you dont feel like laughing at all.

4. A true friend will be crazy, act silly in public with you, and not care what anybody else thinks.

5. A true friend will be so close, that you feel like sisters.You might have a couple really good friends, but everyone deserves a true friend. They are the best kind. Whose your true friend? What do you like about them most? Leave a comment :)

My Summer is officially over.

Just another thing I hate...

I'm anti-ebooks. Kindle, Nook, or anything else that isnt actually a REAL book. I hate. You cant feel the smooth surface of the pages as you turn it. Or fold over the corner when you are done reading. I love books! I know a lot of people have them and would disagree with me by using the following arguments:

1. Can your book define words for you?

2.Can your book be highlighted by itslef?

3.Can your book play games?

4.Can you carry 100+ books at a time? Kindle can hold many books at a time.

This is what I say:

1.Dictionary and I like looking up my own words.

2. who highlights a book anyway? Last time I checked I wasnt reading harry potter and highlighting it as I go. Who does that?

3.Play games? On a ebook? Really? I thought this was for reading?
4. Carrying more books at a time makes you strong and another thing, Its called a shelf.

ebooks= ruining society. People are going to be lazy and not make that trip to the library. Oh yeah and what about libraries?!

People are not going to be strong because they arent carrying enough books. People are also not going to have cute furniture like a book shelf in their home.

I dont like ebooks. I dont like ereaders either. Sorry if you are one. Just pick up a dang book.

1.) The show Victorious, Good Luck Charlie, and Suite Life on Deck.

~ Victorious: I hate your voice.

~ Good Luck Charlie: Dear Older Sister in Good Luck Charlie, Stop complaining about your big family. You dont even know what its like. You have 3 siblings, I have 6. Shut it.

~ Suit Life on Deck: What happened to the Hotel? You're on a boat now? What? How about you go jump off the boat now. This show has been on toooo long.

2.) My stupid phone that doesn't work. ;(

3.)Losing my wallet.

4.) People that leave people out on purpose. I HATE THAT. Just dont do it. I know the feeling and it hurts. I know that sometimes I just wont be liked by everyone and I accept that. But I just hate it when people on purpose just dont talk to you and push you out of circles. I hate it. I HATE IT.

5.) Drama :(

Im in a hateful mood and I shouldn't be. But I am. I hate today.
